Where to buy an iPhone in Kenya: shops, Jumia, Jiji or Safaricom

iPhone 17 Pro in Kenya

Kenya has plenty of places to buy an iPhone, and each has trade-offs. This guide compares them in general terms, because prices on marketplaces change daily and differ from seller to seller.

Physical shops in Nairobi

Buying from a shop lets you hold the phone, test it and walk back in if something goes wrong. The downside is a trip into town, so message first to confirm stock.

That is how we work. Choose your phone from our price list, confirm on WhatsApp (0704 839 296), then visit us at The Bazaar, Mac Arena, 1st Floor, Room B03, Nairobi and ask for Jeffrey. You inspect the phone, pay and take it home.

Jumia and other online marketplaces

Jumia and Kilimall list iPhones from many sellers, including refurbished phones. They are convenient for comparing prices, and many buyers search them first.

  • Good for: quick price checks and home delivery.
  • Watch for: condition wording, whether the warranty comes from the seller or the marketplace, and the return window.

Jiji and other classifieds

Jiji usually has the lowest asking prices because many sellers are individuals. It also carries the most risk. Never send a deposit, meet in a safe public place and follow our used iPhone checklist.

Safaricom shops

Safaricom sells selected iPhones and offers Lipa Mdogo Mdogo on some phones. Its range and pricing change, so check with Safaricom directly. Read our instalments guide before signing up, because the total cost can be well above the cash price.

How to compare two prices fairly

Ask every seller the same five questions:

  • Is it Brand New, Ex-UK or refurbished?
  • How much storage does it have?
  • Is it eSIM only, or physical SIM + eSIM?
  • What is the battery health?
  • What warranty is included, and who honours it?

Buying from outside Nairobi

If you live outside Nairobi, ask the seller how they will send the phone, who bears the risk in transit and when you pay. With us, message 0704 839 296 and we will confirm what is possible for your town.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to buy an iPhone on Jumia Kenya?

Jumia is a marketplace with many sellers, so quality depends on the seller. Check the seller's rating, the condition stated in the listing and the return terms.

Is Jiji safe for buying an iPhone?

Jiji connects you with individual sellers, so you carry most of the risk. Inspect the phone in person, in a public place, and never pay in advance.
