iPhone X (iPhone 10) price in Kenya: is it still worth it?
The iPhone X, often searched as the iPhone 10, was the first iPhone with Face ID and no home button. It is cheap now, but it is well behind on software.
These are asking prices from other sellers' listings, checked on 2 November 2026. We do not list the iPhone X and have not verified these prices.
iPhone X price in Kenya
Refurbished listings we found were about KSh 20,000 to 28,000, including some 256GB phones. Several were out of stock. It came in 64GB and 256GB, so a "128GB iPhone X" advert is wrong.
What you get
A 5.8-inch OLED display, the A11 Bionic, dual 12MP cameras, Face ID and a 2,716 mAh battery. It has no 5G.
Why we would be careful
The iPhone X stopped at iOS 16. Security updates and app support become more limited over time, and any X you find today is likely to need a new battery. A cracked screen can also cost more than you expect, so check our repair cost guide first.
What to consider instead
The iPhone 11 is not much more on the market and still gets iOS updates. In our own stock, these are the lowest-priced options:
| Model | Condition | From | Stock |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 12 Pro | Ex-UK (Refurbished) | KSh 62,000 | In stock |
| iPhone 13 | Ex-UK (Refurbished) | KSh 62,000 | In stock |
| iPhone 12 Pro Max | Ex-UK (Refurbished) | KSh 65,000 | In stock |
Be wary of names like "iPhone X Pro" or "10 Plus". Apple never made those.
64GB or 256GB?
Those are the only two sizes. 64GB fills up quickly, so choose 256GB if you plan to keep photos and videos on the phone. Refurbished phones with 256GB often appear at similar prices, so it is worth looking for one.
Common problems to check
- Face ID: it can fail after drops or a poor screen repair. Test it before paying.
- Battery health: at this age, expect it to be worn, and expect to pay for a replacement sooner or later.
- Screen: replacement screens vary a lot in quality. A poor one can look washed out or lose True Tone.
- iCloud lock: confirm that the seller has signed out of their Apple ID.
Is it worth it at all?
It may be fine as a cheap backup. As a main phone, the lack of new iOS versions is the big issue, and some apps may stop working over time. It also has no 5G and a small battery by today's standards.
