iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus price in Kenya: worth buying in 2026?
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are now over ten years old. They remain popular searches in Kenya because of their low prices, but it is worth understanding what you are buying.
These are asking prices from other sellers' listings, checked on 2 November 2026. We do not list these models and have not verified these prices.

What you get
- iPhone 7: 4.7-inch LCD, A10 Fusion, 12MP camera, 1,960 mAh
- iPhone 7 Plus: 5.5-inch LCD, A10 Fusion, dual 12MP cameras, 2,900 mAh
Neither has a headphone jack. Their last major iOS version was iOS 15, so software support is now the main problem.
Should you buy one?
Consider one only as a backup or a child's first phone. At this age, a worn battery is almost certain, so factor in that cost. Apple never made an iPhone 7s or 7 Pro, so be careful with adverts using those names.
For a main phone, see our cheapest iPhone guide.
32GB, 128GB or 256GB?
With 32GB, you will struggle to keep many apps and photos, and it may not leave enough room for updates. Choose 128GB if you can. Check the actual storage in Settings, because adverts for old phones are not always accurate.
iPhone 7 or 7 Plus?
The 7 Plus has a bigger screen, a larger battery and a second camera with 2x zoom. The 7 is smaller and lighter. For most people on this budget the bigger battery is the more useful feature, as long as it has not worn out.
Check your apps first
Before buying, make sure the apps you need still run on iOS 15. WhatsApp supports iOS 15.1 and newer at the time of writing, but that could change. Banking apps, including those for M-PESA or your bank, can have their own rules, so check before you pay.
Refurbished or second hand?
Ask what has been replaced, and test the speakers, Touch ID and charging port. Touch ID often stops working after a poor repair. See our used iPhone checklist.
