The cheapest iPhone in Kenya: what to buy and what to avoid

iPhone 13 in Kenya

The cheapest iPhone is not always the best value. A phone that has stopped getting updates can lose apps long before it wears out. Here is what the lowest prices in Kenya buy you, starting with what we sell.

The cheapest iPhones we stock

ModelConditionFromStock
iPhone 13Ex-UK (Refurbished)KSh 62,000In stock
iPhone 12 ProEx-UK (Refurbished)KSh 62,000In stock
iPhone 12 Pro MaxEx-UK (Refurbished)KSh 65,000In stock
iPhone 13 ProEx-UK (Refurbished)KSh 75,000In stock

All four are Ex-UK phones with 256GB of storage and 5G. Our pick for most people on a tight budget is the iPhone 13 at KSh 62,000. It costs the same as the iPhone 12 Pro but has a newer chip and a longer battery life. Choose the 12 Pro if you want its zoom lens.

Cheaper iPhones we do not sell

If your budget is well below KSh 62,000, you will be looking at older models from other sellers. These are asking prices we found in Kenyan retailer listings on 2 November 2026. Some were out of stock, and we have not verified them:

The cut-off we would use

Apple's iOS 27 runs on the iPhone 11 and newer, plus the iPhone SE (2nd generation) and newer. Anything older no longer gets new iOS versions, and apps slowly drop support for it. So the iPhone 11 is the cheapest iPhone we would seriously suggest, even though we do not sell it. An iPhone 7 or 8 may be fine as a spare phone, but it is a weak choice as your main one.

How to avoid paying twice

  • Check battery health in Settings. Replacing a worn battery adds to your real cost. See our repair cost guide.
  • Avoid iCloud-locked phones. Make sure the seller has signed out of their Apple ID, in front of you.
  • Beware of very low prices for recent models. If a new iPhone is far below every shop's price, ask why.
  • Check the model exists. Some adverts use iPhone names Apple never made.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest iPhone at i-phones?

The iPhone 13 256GB and iPhone 12 Pro 256GB, both Ex-UK, start from KSh 62,000. Prices were last updated on 6 October 2026.

What is the cheapest iPhone that still gets updates?

The iPhone 11 and the iPhone SE (2nd generation) are the oldest iPhones that run iOS 27, so they are the oldest we would suggest considering.

Is a very cheap iPhone on Jiji safe?

It can be, but the risk sits with you. Meet in a safe public place, check the IMEI and confirm the phone is signed out of the previous owner's Apple ID before you pay.
